Chelsea to offer Pep Guardiola £40m Deal to Leave Barcelona: Reports

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly set to offer Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola a four-year deal worth £40 million to be Chelsea's next manager.

According to an exclusive by Andrew Dillon in The Sun on Friday morning, Guardiola will be given the chance to become the highest paid manager in football—earning £10 million a year, after taxes.

Guardiola would clearly fit the bill. Since taking over at Camp Nou in 2008, he's won two Champions League titles with Barca and three La Liga crowns in a row. He's also reigned over perhaps the greatest club side of them all.

The 41-year-old will run out his latest one-year deal with Barca at the end of the season—and there's already been much speculation about whether he'll sign a new one.

Chelsea have been consistently touted as a possible destination should Guardiola decide to leave Barca behind, but recent reports have suggested he is ready to sign a new one-year deal with the all-conquering Catalans.

Howard Webb buys season ticket (Not for Man United)

Howard Webb has nailed his colors to the mast by buying FIVE season tickets for next term – and not, as some Premier League fans playfully suggest, at Manchester United.

He said: “Being back home in Rotherham is exciting for the club. I can’t wait.

“When I am not working on Saturdays, I love to go and watch the Millers.

“Watching them in the 1980s went some way to inspiring me to becoming a professional referee.”

The man who refereed the 2010 World Cup final has forked out for seats at his home town team Rotherham’s new stadium.

The League Two Millers move into their £20million 12,000-seater New York Stadium in July.
Webb, 40, is an honorary ambassador at the club.

Roberto Mancini Speaks on Torres

ROBERTO MANCINI SPEAKS ON TORRES, TITLE RACE AND TEVEZ IN LATEST INTERVIEW

Manchester City Manager Roberto Mancini believes, his club can still win the title.

City  trail Manchester United by four points at the top after being overhauled by their rivals this month.

The Italian said: "We will win the title, we will win. We will do everything to win the title. We need to think positive, always.

"Until now we have had a fantastic Premier League, we need to continue like this.

"It is better to stay on the top - always - but I said a month ago it could be that we will go into the second position.

"We had difficult fixtures, different from United, but it has not changed. We have everything in our hands.

"There is one game difference - potentially we are one point behind.

"Maybe if we win the next two games we go two points up. We need to go our way, we can't think about United."

City could be lifted by the return of Tevez , who is set to start from the bench in the game against Chelsea.

Mancini said: "He is getting better but I don't think Carlo can have more than 25-30 minutes.

"A player like Carlo needs to play but for 90 minutes but, at this moment, it is impossible.

"If he can play 30 minutes, after that 45 in three or four games, then he could have 90 minutes, easily."
Yet,Torres who showed glimpses of return  against Leicester on Sunday, might turn out to be their nemesis.

Mancini said: "I am happy for Torres, I like him as a guy and a player. He scored again because he deserved this.

"I don't know what will happen tomorrow but I am happy for him.

"But we know tomorrow we play not against Fernando, but against Chelsea. Chelsea are a top team."
On Roberto Di Matteo’s success He said: "I am happy to meet Di Matteo, he is a good manager, he did very well at West Brom.

"Now he is continuing to do very well with Chelsea, but tomorrow I hope we can win.

"Chelsea are a good team but they were before with Villas-Boas."

"I hope in the last 10 games we should play sometimes and be lucky - maybe we will win when we don't deserve to win."
